As the next stages of the Vision Henderson process continue to move forward, Henderson’s Planning Commission is in the process of creating a new Comprehensive Plan and the City of Henderson is finalizing the Vision Henderson Plan, implementing steps identified as part of the outline.
Planning consultants, Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group, continue to work closely with the City of Henderson on the visioning process, facilitating once again a series of meetings beginning March 12, 2015; the Vision Henderson Steering Committee (a 29 person committee representing all facets of the community) will meet on March 12 at 2:00 p.m. on the third floor (the Assembly Room) of the Henderson Municipal Center (222 First Street, Henderson, KY) to discuss the updated Vision Plan. They will also be making a recommendation for the Vision Plan adoption to the Henderson City Commission at a future date.
A Public Open House will follow the meeting on March 12 on the third floor (the Assembly Room) of the Henderson Municipal Center, to allow the public once again the opportunity to stay up to date with the process by reviewing/commenting on the Vision Plan and also provide comments on the Comprehensive Plan’s goals and objectives. Once the Comprehensive Plan is completed, it will define the quantity, quality, and location of growth that the community desires and will include specific action steps needed to implement the Vision Plan. The open house will begin at 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A short presentation of the Comprehensive Plan’s goals and objectives will take place at 6:00 p.m., including an interactive survey. All who attend are welcome to stay for the entire session or if you choose to stop by for a few minutes any input will be helpful for the betterment of Henderson’s future.
